Azure Development Lead – Permanent – Hybrid (Central London) – £75-79K
An interesting career opportunity within a significant financial services business, leading a small Azure DevOps team.
You’ll be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Azure based solutions. You’ll manage other team members, coaching taking responsibility for individual and team performance.
As well as being hands on in the design, coding and testing of Azure solutions, you’ll be responsible for developing policies and frameworks, peer-reviewing code and ensuring that pipelines are functional and operational. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, and will be closely engaged with other technical team leads and third party vendors.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining the Azure environment, troubleshooting and resolving issues, planning workloads and roadmaps and reporting to management, as well as requesting resource and creating proposals for project work.
You’ll need excellent communication skills and a strong technical capability in Azure Services including VMs, Azure Integration, Azure Gateway, Azure Storage etc, as well as Azure DevOps, CI/CD and APIs. In particular, strong experience with Terraform and Powershell and a deep understanding of infrastructure as code is essential.
The role is hybrid; you’ll need to be able to be in the office in Central London a couple of days a week. It will pay a base of up to £79K.
